Documentary Wedding Photographer For Couples Who Hate To Pose.

North East Wedding Photographer | Durham | Scott Carney Photography

Telling your story through documentary wedding photos, giving you back TIME on your day.

My style of photography is described as relaxed, candid, documentary and natural, but whatever you call it, I work with you to give you back TIME.

Time with your family and friends and time to enjoy your day.

Do you want your wedding day to be about you? Do you hate the idea of spending your day posing for hours? Do you want to enjoy your wedding, whilst still getting AMAZING, FUN and REAL wedding photos?

Instead of standing around for hours, posing. I capture your wedding day as it happens. I believe the best wedding photos are those that show you and your guests as you are in real life.

Enjoying your day is one of the most important parts of your wedding and leads to the best photos. No awkward, forced posed photos.

It’s important for me that your wedding photos transport you back to the moments, a skill I have learned over the hundreds of weddings I have photographed in my documentary style.

Documentary Wedding Photography

It seems to be everywhere now, that word documentary. But what does it actually mean? Well this isn’t the actual definition, but I see it as capturing the moment without interfering. This is how I want to capture weddings. You should think about enjoying your day, spending time with friends and family and just being awesome. If at the end of the day you have forgotten I am even at your wedding, then I have achieved my aim. I want you to look back through the photos from your North East wedding and just remember the day as it happened. Obviously when family come together I expect to take a few formal photos but otherwise relax, enjoy your day and I will tell your story through my images.

I look for couples that want the day to flow as they have planned it. I am just there to capture it. Looking through your finished photos I want you to go back to the day and remember those laughs, tears and hugs. I look back on wedding photos to remember the people and the moments, not the time the photographer made you walk through the long grass and pretend to laugh. So if you are a couple looking for a natural, documentary wedding photographer then get in touch below for a chat.

Amy and I have finally sat down to look through the photos and they're amazing! You captured the day so well and all our friends and family have loved looking through them. They have taken us back to all the little jokes and conversations we were having. We really couldn't be happier with how the photos have turned out.
