Best North East Wedding Photography 2025

Best of 2025 Wedding Photography – A Year of Colourful, Candid & Fun Wedding Photos.

As I say goodbye to 2025, it’s always nice to look back on my work and my achievements and I love putting together a ‘best of’ post. This is purely my personal favourites, not necessarily my couples favourites or other photographers favourites, just the images that make me smile, feel proud or I just like for whatever reason. Like my style, the photos here are mostly documentary and candid, with a few relaxed portraits thrown in.

I honestly feel that 2025 has been one of my best years for photography, I have loved every wedding and had so many wonderful reviews from my couples. I have spent a lot of time concentrating on my composition, timing, anticipating moments and overall style and I am personally very proud looking through all my work from the past 12 months.

Mostly, I am just grateful that I keep getting to call this thing I love my job, all the couples that trust me capture one of the most important days of their life in my style and all the suppliers who keep recommending me, thank you. I am almost full for 2026 (I could take on 5 more weddings max) and that always trumps any awards I get.

This is Reportage Top 25 Storyteller in the world for 2025

I was thrilled to be named amongst the This is Reportage top 25 Storytellers in the world, in at number 19 and also improve on my overall position from last year coming in at number 36 in the world! I pride myself on my storytelling approach so to be amongst the best in the entire world was insane! Story awards are given for a collection of 15-20 images from a single wedding and look at composition, the ability to tell a story and are one of the hardest awards to win. I managed to win two this year which I was blown away with.

You can see my story awards below…

Story Award 1 – Tipi Wedding of Stacey & Ryan

Story Award 2 – Beachside Wedding of Becca & Chris

Ninedots, Loxley Print Competition, 2nd Place

It was a huge surprise to win 2nd place at the annual Ninedots Gathering for one of my favourite photos from this year. The Gathering is a huge highlight for me, hanging out with some of the best wedding photographers, learning, networking and maybe drinking a few gins. The judges picking my photo from all the world class submissions was amazing. Thanks to the team at Loxley and the judges: Maciej Suwalowski, Fer Juaristi and Amy Sampson

Sit back, hit play and enjoy…
