As September came and the summer started to fade, a giant wooden festival sign welcomed everyone to Farrell Fest. I was extremely excited for this wedding, not only because I was back for my final wedding of the year at one of my favourite tipi venues (Alexander Weddings & Events at Lake Henry), but because Meg & Conor had planned what promised to be an amazing weekend of music, partying and of course love.
Conor and I just want to say the biggest thank you, not only for the photos (they are amazing, and I’ll get to them in a minute) but for all the support you gave us in the lead up to our wedding, we really do appreciate it!
The photos are just… WOW. Conor and I don’t really like being in-front of the camera and I’m quite self-critical, so I usually hate photos of myself – we don’t actually have a single photo of ourselves at home, but that’s all about to change! This is the first time in my life that I’ve looked at pictures of myself and instead of analysing every detail, I honestly don’t care what I look like; I just see love and joy (cliché but true). You’ve managed to capture the emotions and realness of the day so well and the whole album just exudes happiness and that’s all we could have ever asked for.
Meg & Conor
What followed was an emotional weekend full of laughter, cute dogs, babies, family and of course a LOT of dancing and drinking. We quizzed, performed a long jump competition, enjoyed two bands and a silent disco! It was a lot of fun to spend the weekend with everyone and I already can’t wait to be back at festival weddings this summer.
Side note, Meg gave a master class in not giving a SH** about your dress getting muddy and wet!
Thanks to all the suppliers for the support on this one (all listed below) and of course the team at Lake Henry, amazing as ever. You can find out more about Lake Henry as a venue here.
Thanks to the legend that is Patrick Mateer from M&G Photography for the support second shooting on this one.
