You know when you speak to a couple and they tell you they have called their wedding WedFest then you are in for a fun day. That is exactly what we got with Mel & Adam for their wedding at Ponden Mill in Yorkshire.
A DIY wedding full of personal touches, starting with the ceremony held by a friend of the couple (they already had a legal ceremony). They included all the key festival must-haves from ponchos to wristbands and of course glow sticks. The whole day was relaxed and featured an outdoor ceremony, garden games, a packed dance floor and festival vibes galore. The hook a duck was definitely a favourite of mine!
The perfect venue for a festival style wedding. Located in Keighley, West Yorkshire and run by the fantastic team from the Outside Kitchen & Bar the characterful main room can accommodate up to 130 seated guests and 180 in the evening. With a rustic industrial feel you can decorate the venue to fit a large range of styles. Ponden Mill has plenty of parking, space for camping (make a weekend of it??) and a wedding suite. All set in 3 acres of Yorkshire countryside.
Mel & Adam hired the fantastic Hannah from Hannah Rachael Weddings to do the styling and coordination. The venue looked amazing and the relaxed party continued into the night with a full dance floor and glitter face painting.
I loved every minute of this Ponden Mill festival wedding and I can’t wait to be back soon.
