Barff House Wedding

The scene was set, an amazingly fun couple, a wedding photographer himself and a fantastic new wedding venue. I have been looking forward to this wedding since Ellie and Aaron booked me. My first Barff House Wedding and it was a real honour to be asked by another wedding photographer to cover his wedding, especially a photographer as good as Aaron.
I met Ellie and Aaron at Beverley Registry Office, they opted for a lovely intimate ceremony before heading to Barff House to meet all their friends and family. As they arrived everyone waited with confetti to meet the new bride and groom and it set the tone for the whole day, fun, energetic and a huge laugh.
Barff House is a lovely barn style wedding venue located near Beverley, Yorkshire. The venue features, lovely outdoor space, marquee and barn areas. Part of the Louisianna wedding group which include The Salix Yurts and Aldby Park and now Barff House. This new venue fits perfectly for a DIY feel summer wedding but I imagine it would also be amazing in the winter. This was only the second Barff House Wedding but they are now taking bookings.
Aaron, Ellie and their guests enjoyed some canapés, giant jenga and of course drinks before the speeches. The marquee looked incredible in the sun and Aaron and Ellie had decorated it with some lovely DIY touches. The speeches were brilliant with laughs, tears and plenty of joy. We even had the standard loud group of work colleagues. The food supplied by a local caterers was lovely and finished with home made cakes.
The couples photos were a joy, with Aaron being a photographer himself they were brilliant to work with and they both were so natural with each other it made my job so easy. We waited until later to get the best light and made use of the beautiful fields and surroundings for the couples portraits.

The barn held host to the evening celebrations, a Ceilidh and then a disco. Everyone got involved and it looked like a lot of fun. The first dance saw the couple doing a choreographed piece and we even had confetti canons to finish off the perfect day. A huge congratulations to Ellie and Aaron, thanks for having me along and all the best for the future.
