Haweswater Hotel Wedding

My wedding season has started with a bang, a stunning Haweswater Hotel wedding. The Lake District is one of my favourite places in England. Less than two hours drive from my home in Durham and surrounded by glorious scenery and fantastic wedding venues.

When Sian and Scot booked me I couldn’t wait for the wedding. When the day arrived in March I made the scenic drive to the venue for the day, Haweswater Hotel. Situated on the edge of Haweswater the hotel looks out across the lake and there isn’t another building in sight. The weather looked good for a March Lake District wedding and held out for most of the day.

Take a look below at a selection of images from each part of the day. If you prefer video then scroll to the bottom to see the same images in a handy slideshow. If you are getting married in the Lake District and you need a photographer then say hello, I would love to chat.

Morning Bridal Prep; Sian and her bridesmaids and groomsmen used the rooms in the hotel to get ready for the wedding.

Scot and the groomsmen used the fantastic Haweswater lakehouse just 2 minutes from the Haweswater hotel to get ready. Space looks out across the lake and has plenty of space. It’s very useful to have a separate self-contained space for the couple to be apart before the wedding. Scot was very relaxed before the ceremony and the lads were having a good laugh in the lakehouse.

The ceremony took place in the hotel itself. With plenty of windows, the guests can enjoy gorgeous Lake District views whilst they wait for the couple.

The rest of the wedding was as relaxed as Sian and Scot with everyone enjoying some amazing food, drink and fun. I always love weddings with relaxed atmospheres and this was the perfect way to start the wedding season. Thanks to all the staff at the Haweswater Hotel for their support on the day. Congratulations and a huge thank you to Sian and Scot for having me along.
